Description

Job Title: LTC RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: LTC/SNF Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year experience License: Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Experience with elderly patients Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities. The work involves charting, assessments, administering medications, and performing clinical skills such as IVs, catheterizations, and ostomy care. The nurse will work with a patient population primarily consisting of elderly individuals with diagnoses such as dementia and those requiring rehabilitation. There will be a nurse-to-resident ratio of 1:20 and a nursing aide-to-resident ratio of 1:8. The role does not require reading of telemetry strips, as no telemetry monitoring is in place. Attendance at interdisciplinary team conferences for acute inpatient rehabilitation is not required. Pharmacy services and respiratory therapy are available on-site. The schedule will follow a block format with weekend requirements every other weekend and holiday requirements for at least half of the holidays during the assignment. Floating to other units may be required. The dress code specifies wearing any solid color attire that is clean and professional. All staff members must clock in and out at the facility.
