Description:
Responsible for charting and assessments.
Duties include charge responsibilities and medication administration.
Clinical skills required include IV administration, catheter insertion, and ostomy care.
Experience with dementia, frail elderly, and rehabilitation patients is essential.
Patient to staff ratios are RN: 1:20, LPN: 1:20, and CNA: 1:8.
Team members include therapy, administration, social workers, activities, dietary, and housekeeping.
Pharmacy services and medication dispensing systems are on site.
Weekend and holiday availability required every other rotation.
Floating may be required between units.
Scrubs should be any solid color, clean and professional.
All clinicians must clock in and out during their shift.
No call or standby requirements.
RN's are not required to attend team conferences for acute inpatient rehabilitation.
RN's are not responsible for monitoring telemetry.
There is physician availability after hours.
Registered Nurses will have support from a charge nurse or house supervisor.
