Job Overview We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 10-week travel contract assignment in Parkersburg, West Virginia. The RN will provide direct patient care in a skilled nursing setting, ensuring high-quality clinical outcomes, patient safety, and adherence to wound care and long-term care standards.
This position requires strong clinical judgment, experience in wound care (interview required prior to offer), and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced long-term care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to long-term care residents
- Perform wound care assessments and treatments as required
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Document all patient care accurately and timely
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate changes appropriately
- Ensure compliance with infection control and facility protocols
- Support patient safety and quality care initiatives
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state required
- Current CPR/BLS certification required or preferred per facility standards
- Prior experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
- Wound care experience required (interview required prior to offer)
- Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to manage a full patient assignment independently
