Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Long-Term Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: 2+ years preferred License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Must be comfortable with long-term care. Attendance policy for travelers applies. All requested time off must be included on the initial submission. Description: The registered nurse will work in a long-term care setting. The patient-to-nurse ratio is approximately 1:9-12. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend work is required. Recent experience with the specified charting system is preferred. Candidates must be capable of oxygen administration and peripheral line care. Isolation precautions and personal protective equipment knowledge are essential. Interdisciplinary support includes various teams such as IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Social Services. Candidates will be required to undergo testing during orientation. Contract review will occur if attendance policy violations happen. All compliance documents are due before the start of the assignment. Pass/fail tests on specific topics will be administered on the first day. Travelers must go into the lab within 24 hours after signing. Two years of experience is preferred, but one year will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Previous permanent staff cannot return to the facility as travelers.
