Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to residents with chronic illnesses, disabilities, and age-related conditions. The RN oversees care plans, supervises nursing staff, and ensures high-quality, patient-centered care in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
Assess residents’ health status and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as prescribed
Monitor and document patient conditions, progress, and responses to treatment
Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs/LVNs and CNAs
Respond to emergencies and provide critical care when needed
Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (CMS guidelines)
Educate residents and families on care plans and health management
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR/EHR systems
Participate in care plan meetings and quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
Current BLS certification
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent leadership and communication abilities
