Job Summary:
This Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) registered nurse (RN) position is located in New Britain, Connecticut. The role involves supporting a Respiratory Step Down Unit focused on vent-dependent, respiratory patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of work. The position entails working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Every other weekend is required.

  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with respiratory/vented patients; ability to perform IV starts, drips, blood administration, EKGs, glucose monitoring, wound vac changes, complex and simple wound dressings, trach care, suctioning, straight catheterization, Foley care, port access, central line dressing, and wound measurements.
  • Responsibilities: Support respiratory and vent-dependent patients in a specialty care setting; perform various clinical procedures as outlined; float to similar units as needed first.
  • Additional Information: Profiles must be clean and easy to follow. Candidates should clearly note their experience with respiratory/vented patients, if applicable.
