Description:
The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients.
Care is provided by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures.
The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care.
Clinical competencies must be maintained through continuing education.
The nurse is responsible for delegating patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the available staff.
Direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care are essential responsibilities of this role.
Patient ratios are 1:6.
