Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery / Post Partum (Nights)

Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care for Labor & Delivery and Post Partum patients, including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and triage
- Manage and monitor drip medications including magnesium, insulin, and pitocin
- Care for mother-baby couplets at a 1:3–4 patient ratio within a 24-bed, 2-OR unit
- Perform electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and respond appropriately to findings
- Float across multiple campuses as required to meet staffing needs
- Participate in required holiday coverage (up to 1–2 of the designated summer holidays)
Required Qualifications- Active Iowa RN license or valid Compact/Multistate RN license at time of submission
- Minimum 24 months of current Labor & Delivery, Post Partum, and/or Mother-Baby experience within work history
- Must have completed at least one travel assignment within the previous 12 months (no first-time travelers)
- Intermediate or Advanced EFM / AWHONN certification required
- Current AHA or ARC BLS certification required
- Current AHA ACLS certification required
- Current NRP certification required
- Current AWHONN certification required
- Valid Driver's License required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
- Experience working with Epic EMR
