Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive assessments of childbearing women, neonates, and families to develop and implement individualized plans of care
- Conduct initial assessment and stabilization of neonates following delivery
- Provide patient and family education on self-care and newborn care
- Identify and intervene with vulnerable or at-risk patients and families, collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare team members as needed
- Facilitate family bonding and promote understanding of how family relationships impact health outcomes
- Assist patients and families in understanding and coping with women's health issues and the childbirth process
Required Qualifications- Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program
- Current Pennsylvania RN licensure
- Active BLS certification meeting American Heart Association Healthcare Provider standards
- Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Active ACLS certification meeting American Heart Association Healthcare Provider standards
- Epic EMR experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
- Strong verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and care team members
- Demonstrated emotional resilience and sound clinical judgment when caring for ill patients and their families
