Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Key Responsibilities- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to Labor & Delivery patients as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Perform circulating duties within the Labor & Delivery unit.
- Provide high-risk obstetric care in a high-volume, high-acuity delivery environment.
- Float to Post-Partum unit approximately 1–2 shifts per week as needed.
- Utilize EPIC (including EPIC STORK) for electronic medical record documentation.
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience, with experience reflected within the past 24 months.
- Circulating experience required.
- High-risk obstetric experience required.
- Experience at a high-volume delivery center (200–300 deliveries/month) within the previous year required.
- High-acuity experience required.
- Active Iowa RN license (verified through Nursys at time of submission) required.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
- Current ACLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
- AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Labor & Delivery / L&D-specific Skills Checklist required.
- Taxable address must be more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Scrub experience preferred.
- Multiple travel contracts completed preferred.
- EPIC STORK experience preferred.
- Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred.
