Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed LDR unit, including triage, pre-op for C-sections, OR, and PACU settings
- Manage and monitor high-risk obstetric patients, including those on Magnesium or insulin drips, adhering to 1:1 staffing ratios as applicable
- Follow patients through the complete care continuum for scheduled C-sections through sign-off
- Utilize fetal surveillance systems and maintain accurate documentation using facility charting and medication administration systems
- Adhere to AWHONN Standards for Professional Registered Nurse Staffing for patient ratio assignments
- Work 3–4 twelve-hour weekend shifts per 28-day schedule, with scheduling balanced by leadership based on experience and skill set
Required Qualifications- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications issued through the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification or equivalent
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with Meditech (PCS and ORM modules) and OBIX fetal surveillance systems
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication administration systems and Solaris IV pumps
- Experience caring for high-risk obstetric populations, including diabetic patients
