    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 7p Start Time | Every Other Weekend Required (Fri/Sat and Sat/Sun nights) | Rotating Holidays

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in an LDRP setting for patients 32 weeks gestation and above, following ACOG and California staffing ratios (1:3 or 1:4 couplets)
    • Utilize Cerner PowerChart Maternity and Cerner Fetal Links for fetal heart monitoring (FHM) documentation
    • Perform charge nurse duties including triage of patients as assigned
    • Float to postpartum unit on a rotating basis with permanent staff
    • Collaborate with OB techs, lactation nurses, anesthesia, and on-site Stanford NICU nurses at each delivery
    • Assist with triage and NST monitoring as part of the unit team
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
    • Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
    • Proficiency or ability to learn Cerner PowerChart Maternity and Cerner Fetal Links
    • Ability to work night shifts with rotating weekend and holiday requirements
    • Ability to be within 20 minutes of the facility if placed on low-census call during a shift
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working in an LDRP environment with Level 2 NICU support on site
    • Familiarity with high epidural-rate patient populations (approximately 90% epidural election)
    • Experience utilizing translation services or working with multilingual patient populations
    • Comfort with infant security systems and protocols
