Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift (7p–7a) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Holiday requirement: Christmas Eve or Christmas Day | Call requirement: 3–4 call shifts per 6-week schedule with 30-minute availability
Key Responsibilities- Provide antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care to patients in a Labor & Delivery/Postpartum/Mother-Baby unit
- Titrate drips including Oxytocin, Insulin, and Epidural per physician orders and unit protocols
- Read and interpret electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) strips using the GE Centricity system
- Manage and care for patients with common diagnoses including Gestational Hypertension, Gestational Diabetes, and PreEclampsia
- Operate respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilators as needed
- Collaborate with OB techs, charge nurses, and house supervisors to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
Required Qualifications- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license; any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
- Basic Fetal Monitoring certification required
- Working knowledge of AWHONN guidelines
- Demonstrated experience in antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum nursing care
- Ability to titrate drips (Oxytocin, Insulin, Epidural)
- Valid, unexpired driver's license required (copy must be submitted with application)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Ability to circulate and recover Cesarean Section procedures
- Experience reading telemetry strips in an OB setting
- Familiarity with GE Centricity EFM system
