Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Holiday requirement: Christmas Eve or Christmas Day | 3–4 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule with 30-minute response requirement

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum nursing care in a combined L&D/Postpartum/Mother-Baby unit
  • Perform and interpret electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) using GE Centricity system in accordance with AWHONN guidelines
  • Titrate drips including Oxytocin, Insulin, and Epidural infusions as ordered
  • Operate and monitor respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilators as needed
  • Collaborate with OB techs, charge nurses, and house supervisors to deliver safe, coordinated patient care
  • Participate in on-call shifts and respond on-site within 30 minutes when called
Required Qualifications
  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — any licensing history disclosures required at time of submission
  • Basic Fetal Monitoring certification
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with AWHONN guidelines
  • Clinical experience in antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
  • Ability to titrate drips (Oxytocin, Insulin, Epidural)
  • Must reside within 100 miles of the facility; valid, unexpired driver's license required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience circulating and recovering Cesarean Section patients
  • Familiarity with GE Centricity electronic fetal monitoring system
  • Experience managing high-acuity OB diagnoses including gestational hypertension, gestational diabetes, and preeclampsia
