Travel RN – Labor & Delivery / OB (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours guaranteed per week | 13-week assignment | Projected Start: June 1, 2026

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients in a small, critical access birthing center setting
  • Manage a patient ratio of approximately 2 nurses per shift within a 7-room unit including 2 dedicated labor rooms
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for all documentation and patient charting
  • Float as needed within scope of practice; will not be assigned to medical units outside of OB scope
  • Assist with coverage for core staff PTO on weekends as needed on a minimal basis
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery or Obstetrics experience (hard requirement)
  • Current BLS certification (required)
  • Current NRP certification (required)
  • Strong labor and delivery clinical background
  • Flu vaccination required for assignments running November 1 through April 1 (exemptions must be facility-approved)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Experience with fetal monitoring
  • Comfort and confidence working independently in a small, low-volume birthing center environment
