Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Perform sterile vaginal exams as part of routine and emergent patient assessments
- Circulate during obstetric procedures and deliveries
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health record systems
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required
- Active California RN license in hand at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
- Ability to circulate and perform sterile vaginal exams required
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Preferred Experience / Skills- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
- Experience in large acute care hospital settings highly preferred
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
