Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Labor & Delivery setting, including antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum phases
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery, identifying and responding to changes in condition
- Assist with and support deliveries, including normal and high-risk births, in a Level I experience environment
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care, and related health topics
- Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with facility protocols
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery nursing
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- STABLE certification and AWHONN certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a tertiary or teaching hospital environment
- Familiarity with high-risk obstetric patient populations
