Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of all assigned patients in a Labor and Delivery / Mother-Baby setting
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns
- Perform fetal monitoring and interpret findings in accordance with unit competency standards
- Participate in neonatal resuscitation and emergency response as required
- Complete MSE skills and competency validations within the required timeframes following L&D training
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum one year of RN experience preferred, particularly in a specialty nursing department
- BLS (Basic Life Support) at the Healthcare Provider (HCP) level – AHA or equivalent – required within 30 days of hire
- ACLS (AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required within 6 months of completing L&D training, renewed every 2 years
- NRP (AAP Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required within 6 months of completing L&D training, renewed every 2 years
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course required within 6 months of completing L&D training, renewed every 2 years (Advanced Fetal Monitoring accepted in lieu)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior acute care RN experience strongly preferred
- RN-C (Certified Registered Nurse) certification preferred
