Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients using critical thinking and independent judgment
- Utilize all phases of the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Direct and supervise the nursing patient care team, including CNAs, LPNs, and other support staff
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in the provision of patient care
- Document patient care, condition, reactions, and responses to treatment in a timely manner and track patient progress
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of current Birthing Center experience
- Experience with laboring patients, delivery (including newborn care at delivery), and postpartum care (mothers and babies)
- Active Michigan RN State License
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior travel nursing experience
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification — candidates without active certification will be considered if willing to obtain
- Experience with Cerner EMR
