Key Responsibilities- Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data; provide age-appropriate nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice.
- Foster an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
- Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff.
- Apply standard work practices in relation to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
- Contribute to department performance through precepting and mentoring novice employees and supporting Evidence Based Practice initiatives.
- Float to assist in other like units as needed and perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
- Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific nursing interventions and standards of practice.
- Commitment to patient safety and utilization of appropriate health and safety equipment.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience precepting or mentoring novice nursing staff.
- Familiarity with Evidence Based Practice initiatives within a hospital setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional growth and ongoing education.
