Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift | Onsite | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to normal and high-risk laboring patients, antepartum patients, and couplet care patients in a Level 3 high-risk facility averaging approximately 250 births per month
- Perform vaginal exams and internal monitor placement independently; read and interpret fetal monitor strips using the facility's electronic fetal monitoring system
- Circulate and recover C-section patients in one of two on-unit OR suites
- Titrate drips including Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Insulin, and Heparin per protocol
- Float to postpartum/mother-baby and other units as needed based on census and staffing
- Collaborate with in-house OB, Neonatology, and Anesthesia teams available 24/7
Required Qualifications- Active RN license valid in the state of Nevada (or compact eligibility)
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Demonstrated experience with high-risk labor and delivery, antepartum care, and C-section circulation and recovery
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a Level 3 high-risk obstetric facility
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic fetal monitoring documentation
- Comfort with self-scheduling systems and adaptability to float assignments
