Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Henderson, NV

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Every other weekend required

• Provide direct nursing care to normal and high-risk laboring patients, antepartum patients, and couplet care patients in a Level 3 high-risk facility averaging approximately 250 births per month
• Perform vaginal exams and internal monitor placement independently; read and interpret fetal monitor strips using the facility's electronic fetal monitoring system
• Circulate and recover C-section patients in one of two on-unit OR suites
• Titrate drips including Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Insulin, and Heparin per protocol
• Float to postpartum/mother-baby and other units as needed based on census and staffing
• Collaborate with in-house OB, Neonatology, and Anesthesia teams available 24/7

• Active RN license valid in the state of Nevada (or compact eligibility)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Demonstrated experience with high-risk labor and delivery, antepartum care, and C-section circulation and recovery

• Experience working in a Level 3 high-risk obstetric facility
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic fetal monitoring documentation
• Comfort with self-scheduling systems and adaptability to float assignments

• Work in a well-supported unit with in-house OB, Neonatology, and Anesthesia coverage around the clock, plus certified surgical techs and unit secretaries as ancillary support
