Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to labor, delivery, postpartum, antepartum, and newborn nursery patients
  • Maintain 1:1 nursing ratios for active labor patients and 1:3–4 ratios for couplet care
  • Perform titration of Pitocin and continuous electronic fetal monitoring
  • Float infrequently to other units to assist with medication pass or tech cares as needed
  • Document and manage patient care using EPIC electronic medical records
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 24 months of Labor & Delivery (L&D) RN experience required
  • Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
  • EPIC EMR experience required
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
  • Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certificate required
  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • Current AHA ACLS certification required
  • Valid driver's license required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Nursery and/or Mother-Baby experience highly preferred
  • Postpartum nursing experience preferred
  • AWHONN certification preferred
  • Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
