Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit managing high-risk OB, antepartum, vaginal delivery, and C-section patients
- Administer and monitor drips including magnesium, insulin, and pitocin
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:1–2 within a 45-bed unit with 2 operating rooms
- Float across multiple campuses as assigned to support staffing needs
- Participate in required holiday coverage during designated summer holidays unless the unit is closed
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
Required Qualifications- Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license required at time of submission
- Minimum of one completed travel assignment within the previous 12 months (no first-time travelers)
- Current experience in Labor & Delivery, including antepartum, C-section, and vaginal delivery care
- High-risk OB experience in a Level I trauma facility
- Intermediate or Advanced EFM / AWHONN certification required
- Active BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA), and NRP certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in postpartum / mother-baby care
- Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
