Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized, age-specific, and culturally appropriate patient and family care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Identify and prioritize patient and family needs and goals, documenting assessment data and developing plans of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
- Implement and adapt comprehensive care plans using nursing interventions, making clinical decisions in accordance with compliance standards and seeking resources as needed in new or complex situations.
- Evaluate patient and family progress toward goals, participate in care conferences, and revise care plans and interventions as appropriate.
- Assess and address patient and family educational needs, developing and implementing individualized education plans using adult-learning principles.
- Serve as a patient and family advocate, encouraging participation in decision-making, coordinating with interdisciplinary team members, and communicating care needs per departmental policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) – Intermediate or Advanced certification (required)
- Minimum of three years of recent RN experience
- Minimum of two years of recent RN experience in a specialty area
Preferred Experience / Skills- NURCRN EFM certification (preferred)
- Experience in Labor and Delivery or a related Women's Services specialty
