Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit encompassing labor rooms, triage rooms, antepartum rooms, and operating rooms
- Perform cervical exams, IUPC and FSE placement, IV starts with lab draws, and assist with vaginal deliveries
- Circulate and recover cesarean sections, including those performed under spinal or general anesthesia
- Monitor and assess fetal status using advanced fetal monitoring techniques in accordance with AWHONN intermediate fetal heart monitoring standards
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including OB techs, charge nurses, laborist MDs, CNMs, and dedicated anesthesia providers available 24 hours a day
- Adhere to unit floating policy, which may include occasional floating to Mother-Baby but no other departments
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Active RN licensure applicable to the state of Tennessee
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- One or more prior travel nursing contracts completed, preferably in Labor & Delivery
- Experience with documentation systems Meditech and Centricity
- Familiarity with advanced obstetric tools such as the Jada system, fetal pillow, and Cook's catheters
- Completion of Spinning Babies or Supporting Vaginal Birth training
