Provide direct patient care in an active Labor and Delivery unit averaging approximately 2,000 deliveries annually, with 8 private labor rooms, 4 private triage beds, and 2 OB operating rooms
Care for both low-risk patients, including certified nurse midwife populations, and high-risk patients within a maternal fetal medicine program
Cross-train to Mother/Baby unit as expected; may be floated to NICU (feeder/grower level) within scope of practice
Perform fetal monitoring and provide comprehensive obstetric nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic electronic health records
Adhere to unit float requirements and facility compliance policies throughout the duration of the assignment
Required Qualifications
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia (pending license accepted at time of submission; license must be in hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
