Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Weekdays with every other weekend required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to low-risk and high-risk obstetric patients in a regional tertiary care Labor and Delivery unit
  • Float to Mother Baby unit as needed when not required on Labor and Delivery
  • Collaborate with midwives and physicians to support the full spectrum of childbirth experiences, from minimal intervention to complex complications
  • Perform triage assessments, IV starts, and fetal heart monitoring
  • Assist with circulating and scrub roles in the operating room setting as needed
  • Accurately document patient care using electronic health record systems
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Labor and Delivery
  • Active WV RN license or valid Compact license (pending license accepted for submission)
  • BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records (experience required)
  • Fetal heart monitoring (FHM) competency and IV start skills
  • Ability to float to Mother Baby unit as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Circulating experience in an OR setting
  • Scrub skills in the operative delivery setting
  • Experience with Surginet and Fetalink documentation platforms
