Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients in a 24-bed Maternal Infant Unit with a 1:1 labor patient ratio
- Assist with and support vaginal deliveries and C-sections
- Care for antepartum, postpartum, and newborn patients with ratios of 5–6:1
- Operate and interpret GE fetal monitors and document care using Meditech and CPN EMR systems
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including OB techs, nursery nurses, and unit leadership
- Participate in every third weekend rotation and fulfill 12 hours of on-call per 4-week schedule
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Virginia or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NRP certification
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- 2+ years of Labor & Delivery experience in an LDRP setting
- Experience in a high birth volume labor and delivery environment
