Travel RN – Mother/Baby (Postpartum)

Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive postpartum maternal and newborn assessments on a Mother/Baby couplet unit
- Manage and monitor obstetric complications including postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), hypertension, and OB sepsis
- Provide couplet care for mothers and newborns at a 1:3–4 patient ratio
- Operate unit equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Medela breast pumps, and Medela breastmilk warmers
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR (transitioning to EPIC after August 2026)
- Deliver family-centered, compassionate care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of postpartum or Mother/Baby nursing experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Demonstrated experience with PPH, hypertension management, and OB sepsis protocols
- Natural nails required per facility dress code; navy scrubs required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience providing postpartum couplet care (simultaneous mother and newborn care)
- Familiarity with Cerner and/or EPIC EMR systems
- Compassionate, family-centered care approach with strong teamwork orientation
