Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 4x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | On-Site

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit, including LDR rooms, OB Triage, antepartum, OR suites, and PACU
  • Manage and monitor laboring patients, inductions, and high-risk antepartum cases in a fast-paced environment averaging up to 14 patients including inductions
  • Perform OB triage assessments, including third-trimester testing and triage patient evaluations
  • Participate in charge nurse responsibilities or train toward charge nurse role as needed
  • Float to like or affiliate units within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
  • Work every other weekend and be available for 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
Required Qualifications
  • Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted for submission; must be in hand prior to offer)
  • Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Experience with Epic electronic health records charting
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Charge nurse experience in a Labor and Delivery or similar OB setting
  • Experience working in a high-risk or high-volume OB environment
  • Familiarity with Magnet facility standards and practices
