Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 4x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | On-Site
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit, including LDR rooms, OB Triage, antepartum, OR suites, and PACU
- Manage and monitor laboring patients, inductions, and high-risk antepartum cases in a fast-paced environment averaging up to 14 patients including inductions
- Perform OB triage assessments, including third-trimester testing and triage patient evaluations
- Participate in charge nurse responsibilities or train toward charge nurse role as needed
- Float to like or affiliate units within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
- Work every other weekend and be available for 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
Required Qualifications- Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted for submission; must be in hand prior to offer)
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Experience with Epic electronic health records charting
Preferred Experience / Skills- Charge nurse experience in a Labor and Delivery or similar OB setting
- Experience working in a high-risk or high-volume OB environment
- Familiarity with Magnet facility standards and practices
