Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit, including LDR rooms, OB Triage, antepartum, OR suites, and PACU.
Provide direct patient care in a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit, including LDR rooms, OB Triage, antepartum, OR suites, and PACU
Manage and monitor laboring patients, inductions, and high-risk antepartum cases in a fast-paced environment averaging up to 14 patients per shift
Perform OB triage assessments for third-trimester testing patients and incoming triage patients
Utilize Epic electronic health record system for accurate and timely charting
Float to like units within the facility or affiliate locations as needed to meet staffing requirements
Work every other weekend and two out of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
Required Qualifications
Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted for submission; license must be in hand prior to offer)
Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
Charge nurse experience or willingness to be trained in a charge nurse role
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Familiarity with high-risk obstetric patient populations
