    Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

    Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit, including LDR rooms, OB Triage, antepartum, OR suites, and PACU
    • Manage and monitor laboring patients, inductions, and high-risk antepartum cases in a fast-paced environment averaging up to 14 patients per shift
    • Perform OB triage assessments for third-trimester testing patients and incoming triage patients
    • Utilize Epic electronic health record system for accurate and timely charting
    • Float to like units within the facility or affiliate locations as needed to meet staffing requirements
    • Work every other weekend and two out of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted for submission; license must be in hand prior to offer)
    • Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
    • AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
    • Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Charge nurse experience or willingness to be trained in a charge nurse role
    • Experience with Epic electronic health record system
    • Familiarity with high-risk obstetric patient populations
