• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team and families to promote continuity of care
• Perform assessments, apply nursing judgment, and intervene appropriately using critical thinking
• Direct and support ancillary staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Communicate clear and timely patient status updates to team members and families
• Document accurately in the electronic record and use basic computer tools effectively

• Active Registration and Licensure as an RN in the State of Iowa (must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing)
• Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required
• Current ACLS, NRP and STABLE certifications (new employees should obtain per policy)
• Strong verbal communication skills and empathetic listening
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and direct support staff when needed
• Basic computer skills and comfort with electronic documentation

• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• BSN preferred
