We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor & Delivery to provide high-quality care to mothers and newborns. The ideal candidate will have experience in obstetrics, strong clinical skills, and the ability to handle critical situations effectively.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Procedures & IV Therapy- Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy
- Administer blood and blood products
- Start and maintain IV lines
- Monitor infusion pumps and IV drips
Medication Administration- Administer medications including antihypertensives
- Ensure safe and accurate medication delivery
Labor & Delivery Care- Assist with vaginal deliveries
- Monitor and support patients during labor
Postpartum Care- Care for patients post vaginal delivery and cesarean section
- Perform fundus, lochia, and perineal assessments
- Manage Foley catheter insertion and care
Patient Care (High-Risk Conditions)- Manage patients with:
- Diabetes Mellitus
- Pre-eclampsia / Eclampsia
- Premature Rupture of Membranes
Newborn Care- Conduct newborn assessments
- Educate parents on newborn care and discharge instructions
- Teach circumcision care
Pain Management- Assist with epidural anesthesia
- Administer opioids as needed
- Assess and manage patient pain
Fetal Monitoring- Monitor fetal heart rate patterns
- Identify and respond to abnormalities
- Use external fetal monitoring systems
Antepartum Care- Perform sterile vaginal exams
- Triage obstetrical patients
Professional Responsibilities- Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Maintain patient safety and infection control standards
