Description:
Schedule requirements include 3x12 or 4x12 shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
No on-call duties are required.
Every other weekend commitment is necessary.
Blocked schedule options are available.
Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit.
If a candidate passes the clinical review and meets guidelines, they will be sent to the manager for final decision.
The manager will conduct interviews with candidates.
Candidates must have experience with Epic charting.
A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is permitted.
Weekend coverage is necessary on a biweekly basis.
Additional coverage for holidays will be as needed.
Floating to other units may be required on occasion.
Candidates should be prepared to care for COVID-19 patients.
Facilities are tobacco and fragrance-free.
Candidates with medical or religious exemptions for vaccines will be considered.
Travel experience is required.
Charge experience is preferred.
Patient ratios are typically 4:1.
Candidates will be required to complete a skills assessment and pass additional testing as necessary.
Candidates must have appropriate certifications relevant to the specialty.
The unit serves neonates and adults, with a daily census of approximately 8 patients.
Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Patient diagnoses include various labor and delivery cases.
Skills required include administration of medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with labor and delivery procedures.
Candidates will assist with all aspects of patient care in the labor and delivery environment.
Knowledge of maternal and newborn care protocols is essential.
Candidates should be familiar with emergency procedures and crisis management.
Training modules related to patient care will be provided prior to the start of the assignment.
