Description:
Unit has 9 Labor and Delivery beds and 4 Postpartum beds.
The average number of births per month is 55.
Candidates must have experience with high-risk deliveries.
Birth plans are important and typically followed by the patient population.
Staff follow AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios.
The facility uses a fetal monitoring system and EMR system.
There will be a Charge Nurse but no patient assignment.
There are OB techs available on both day and night shifts.
Weekend requirements include every other weekend.
There is no call requirement.
Holidays will be incorporated into the permanent staff rotation.
Scrubs are hospital-provided.
Respiratory therapy is available 24/7.
Pharmacy service is not available 24/7; after hours support is provided through a service.
Shift duration is from 6 PM to 6 AM.
Candidates must have the ability to circulate for C-sections.
Candidates must have experience in both Labor and Delivery and Postpartum.
Common patient demographics include individuals 34 weeks and above.
The facility does not accept first-time travelers.
Travel experience is preferred.
Cancellation policy allows for 4 shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment.
Charting system utilized is electronic and specific to the facility.
A BSN is not required for this role.
