Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse in Birthing Unit- Provide high-quality care throughout the labor and delivery process
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs
- Assist with epidurals and other birthing procedures
- Support mothers with breastfeeding and newborn care
- Maintain detailed records of patient care and condition
Requirements of the Registered Nurse in Birthing Unit- Valid RN license
- Minimum 2 years of experience, must include circulating experience
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and recent EFM (at least intermediate) required
- Preferred: Advanced Life Support for Obstetrics, Perinatal NCC Certifications, First Latch Certification
