Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (1900 - 0730) Experience: One year of recent acute care RN experience required License: Current RN license in state of practice required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course required on hire and every two years for experienced nurses Job Summary: Perform the professional functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care. Be responsible for meeting established Standards of Nursing Practice and promoting cooperation among the healthcare team. Essential Functions: Actively participate in committees and encourage actions that promote good guest relations with patients, families, and co-workers. Listen, observe, act, and follow through to completion. Maintain current professional licenses and/or certifications as required by state or facility mandate.
