- Monitoring maternal and fetal well-being during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
- Supporting patients through all stages of childbirth, including induction, active labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
- Assisting physicians and midwives with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and obstetric emergencies.
- Administering medications, IV therapies, and epidural support per provider orders.
- Operating fetal monitoring equipment and interpreting results to anticipate complications.
- Responding promptly to changes in maternal/fetal condition and initiating emergency interventions when necessary.
- Educating and supporting mothers and families through the childbirth and recovery process.
- Floating to Postpartum or related units based on facility needs.
- Documenting care accurately and efficiently in EPIC.
