Description:
The unit features 11 labor beds, 4 OB evaluation rooms, 2 OB PACU, and 2 operating rooms.
Staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 10 staff nurses during the day shift, and 1 charge nurse and 10 staff nurses during the night shift, along with 2 OB technicians.
The typical patient ratios are 1 RN to 2 patients and 1 RN to 1 patient for critical cases.
Key equipment used includes GE fetal monitoring.
The electronic medical record system utilized is CPN and Meditech.
The skill set most sought after includes experience with AWHONN Fetal Monitoring.
Preferred candidates will have over 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, including roles as a Transition Nurse or Baby Catcher.
Typical procedures performed on the unit include non-stress tests, cervical exams, managing labor, titrating medications, and McRoberts maneuver.

Weekend shifts and on-call duty may be required to address staffing needs.
