Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience License: Must have a valid state RN license in good standing Certifications: Must have BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications Must-Have: Trauma 1 experience listed by facility EPIC experience Description: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver. The RN assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame. Provides care to these patients using the nursing process. Utilizes nursing trends, technology, financial, and human resources within the philosophy of the institution. Job Responsibilities: Performs all responsibilities and duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service. Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice. Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided. Assures integration of information for use by the healthcare team. Completes initial assessment upon patient admission. Develops an appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards. The plan of care is based on patient and family needs. Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures. Modifies plan of care based upon continuous evaluation. Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety.
