Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor Delivery Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: One year of nursing experience; Must have previous Labor & Delivery experience License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification; ACLS; NRP Must-Have: Ability to circulate for C-sections; Ability to triage for OB Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager or Director. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self. Attends education programs based on identified learning needs. Uses patient education materials relevant to the patient population. Assesses readiness to learn of the patient, family, and caregivers. Evaluates the developmental level of the patient and factors affecting ability to learn. Identifies expected patient outcomes. Seeks guidance as needed in revision of the plan of care. Participates in discussions with members of the interdisciplinary team in evaluation of patient care.
