Description:
Position is for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse.
Ratios are 1:1.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Weekend work is required.
Floating within the hospital is required.
Candidates must be able to assist with high-risk deliveries and maintain care for childbearing women and newborns.
Unit provides care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patients.
High-risk Level 3 Perinatal center with approximately 150 births per month.
Two operating rooms available for C-Sections, BTLs, and postpartum D&Cs.
Utilizes a secondary Labor and Delivery RN as a "baby catcher" for all deliveries.
Must have experience with various perinatal procedures and medications.
Candidates should be willing to learn to care for patients needing induction of labor or termination of pregnancy due to life-threatening conditions.
The environment involves high acuity patients with multiple comorbidities.
Special procedures may include cerclage and labor management in ICUs.
Candidates must be able to circulate C-Sections, which involves documentation and instrument counting.
Two pre-approved time off requests allowed.
Candidate references required for submittal.
Rotating shifts will include additional responsibilities as needed within the unit.
