Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years preferred (2 years with strong experience accepted) License: Current state nursing license required Certifications: C-EFM, BLS, NRP, STABLE, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Charge experience preferred Scrub experience required Cerner experience preferred Completed at least 1 travel assignment Description: Position is for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. The nurse will work three shifts of twelve hours each. The work schedule is from 06:50 to 19:20. Must have experience in high-risk deliveries and labor support. The role involves assisting with deliveries, including vaginal and cesarean births. Candidates should have experience in maternal and fetal assessment. The nurse will be responsible for patient education, including breastfeeding support. They will need to monitor fetal heart rates and manage labor pain. Floating between mother/baby and scrub duties is required. On-call responsibilities will include a rotation of two shifts every six weeks. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and teamwork skills. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of IV therapy and emergency protocols is essential. Experience with patient ratios of 2:1 is preferred. The work environment includes interdisciplinary support from various services. This position requires attention to detail and strong clinical skills. Candidates must hold current certifications at the time of application. They should have the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
