Description:
Position is for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse.
The nurse will work three shifts of twelve hours each.
The work schedule is from 06:50 to 19:20.
Must have experience in high-risk deliveries and labor support.
The role involves assisting with deliveries, including vaginal and cesarean births.
Candidates should have experience in maternal and fetal assessment.
The nurse will be responsible for patient education, including breastfeeding support.
They will need to monitor fetal heart rates and manage labor pain.
Floating between mother/baby and scrub duties is required.
On-call responsibilities will include a rotation of two shifts every six weeks.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of IV therapy and emergency protocols is essential.
Experience with patient ratios of 2:1 is preferred.
The work environment includes interdisciplinary support from various services.
This position requires attention to detail and strong clinical skills.
