Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: State Registered Nurse License required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring required Must-Have: - Experience in high-risk perinatal care - Ability to float to Postpartum as needed - Strong skills in fetal monitoring Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The role involves working in a facility with comprehensive maternity services and a Level II NICU. Candidates with two years of experience in labor and delivery are preferred. First-time travelers are welcomed to apply. Weekend shifts are required, as well as the ability to float to the Postpartum unit. The unit provides high-risk perinatal care with a staffing goal of 1:1 in labor and 1:3 in Postpartum. Triage is staffed with a skilled team of RNs. The facility has numerous labor and delivery beds and supports various post-delivery needs. Interdisciplinary support is available from several departments. All candidates must possess the required certifications as part of the application process. This role requires the administration of various nursing skills relevant to labor and delivery. Candidates should be prepared to work in a high-paced environment. Experience in a facility with 200 or more deliveries per year is ideal, but applicants with experience in facilities with 100-200 deliveries may also be considered.
