Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Labor and Delivery or related area License: Valid RN license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRPS Must-Have: - Strong experience in Labor and Delivery and postpartum care - Experience with NICU or LDRP Description: This position involves providing nursing care in a Labor and Delivery unit. Registered Nurses will float between units as needed, based on patient census and staffing requirements. On-call duties are required when the unit is experiencing low census. Weekend shifts are mandatory, with expectations of working every other weekend. Block scheduling is utilized for this position. Patient-to-nurse ratios are expected to be 1:1 to 1:2 during labor and 1:3 to 1:4 for postpartum couplets. Candidates must have prior charge experience and familiarity with Epic charting system. Candidates should be comfortable with various nursing skills related to labor and delivery. This role encompasses care for neonates, adolescents, infants, and adults. Nurses are expected to participate in educational and support activities for patients and families. A commitment to collaborative work within an interdisciplinary team is essential. This position requires flexibility and willingness to float between sister facilities as necessary. Refusal to float may impact the assignment and guaranteed hours.
