After hours go through UHC (United Hospital Center) - PyxisShifts12 h shifts: 0645-715 (typically 4 RN's during the day & 3-4 at night. They like to have 4 at night but don't always get 4. Might have someone on call come in if neededC-section experience requiredRN's don't usually circulate C-Sections; however, if the OR team isn't there yet, the staff nurse would need to be able to do this; therefore the ability to circulate C-Sections is required for this unit FloatingIf they have this experience & are comfortable, they could float to MedSurg or ER as helping hands; however, they would keep them 'clean' incase they have a delivery come inFloor specific orientationOrientation is mainly done on the unit 2-3 shifts w/ a preceptor Common diagnosis / Types of patients20 weeks & up - This doesn't mean they keep 20 weekers - but they have to be prepared for any gestational age, mag, insulin, pitocin, multiples, VBACS, etc.This unit is strictly L&D but occasional may get some over-flow from MedSurg or CCU, depending on room availabilty & COVID Cancellation may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment and 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks Charting - Evident BSN License to , willing to wait Trauma Level: Care Shift Notes:12 hr days, weekends as scheduled Required , BLS Certification, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Contract Weeks:91
