Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 12 Months Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required, first timers accepted License: In-state license required, must be in hand prior to start date Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, FHM required Must-Have: - Experience in labor and delivery - Ability to float as needed Description: Position available for Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. First timers are accepted. Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, NRP, and FHM. No local candidates accepted. Floating to different areas may be required. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Guaranteed hours are 36 to 48 hours per workweek based on the schedule. Position involves labor, induction, scheduled and unscheduled C-sections, and triage. Candidates will work with patients including high-risk deliveries. Unit follows staffing guidelines for patient ratios, maintaining 1:1 for active labor when possible. Each nurse may have to take additional patients as needed during busy times. Special equipment includes epidural pumps, IV pumps, and monitoring systems. Daily patient census is approximately four or more.
