Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS (AHA) BLS (AHA) NRP AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM Must-Have: Experience in OB, Mother/Baby, and Labor & Delivery Ability to work in all areas of LDRP Ability to accommodate holiday coverage with flexible RTO during holidays Description: Holiday coverage is required. Any requests for time off during holidays must remain flexible to accommodate staffing demands. No requests for time off will be permitted during the first two weeks of the contract. Patient ratios will follow AWHONN guidelines for staffing. Will work in all areas of Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum. RNs will provide antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub nursing, newborn nursing at delivery, and couplet care. Nurses will perform lab draws and hearing screens on newborns. Scrubs will be provided. Training will be provided to complete newborn infant hearing screens using the ALGO 5 Machine. Weekend work is expected every other weekend. Floating to other areas may be required when necessary. No on-call shifts are included. Unit has a capacity of 15 beds with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary. Special equipment includes the ALGO 5 hearing screen machine. References are required and must be at a supervisory level. Previous travelers may return after a designated period. Proof of flu vaccination is required. If seeking a vaccination exemption, it must be submitted within a specified timeframe.
