Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour; Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required; first-timers accepted License: State license required by start date Certifications: BLS; AWHONN (Advanced or Intermediate); NRP Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience - Travel experience - Antepartum experience - Facility births/month between 100-200 - Weekend requirement: 3 weekends per 4-week schedule Description: The position involves variable shifts, with assignments based on staffing needs. The registered nurse will float between Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, and OB Special Care as necessary. A staffing model is utilized for appropriate patient care. The facility serves as a regional referral center for high-risk obstetric care. The unit has a specified number of labor delivery rooms, operating rooms, and triage beds. Caregivers in the Mother Baby unit provide postpartum care for mothers and newborn care for infants. Additional experienced skills include administration of blood products, amnioinfusion, anticoagulation therapy, and high-risk delivery assistance. Newborn assessments, pain management, and use of fetal monitoring are also integral to the role. Registered nurses will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support services as needed. Candidates are expected to submit time-off requests at the time of profile submission. All certifications must be active by the contract start date.
