Description:
This position requires a registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery.
The nurse will be responsible for managing a nurse-patient ratio of 1:2 in the labor and delivery unit.
The role involves float requirements to mother and baby units based on staffing needs.
On-call duties entail 36 hours every six weeks.
Weekend shifts are every other weekend or two weekends per month.
Travelers may not request time off during major holidays or holiday weeks.
This includes significant holidays throughout the year.
Additionally, certifications must remain current and not expire within a specified time frame.
The nurse will perform various skills, including administering medications, conducting assessments, and assisting with deliveries.
The ideal candidate will have experience with blood product administration, antenatal care, and neonatal assessments.
Floating to other departments is permitted aligned with clinical competency.
All nursing staff must adhere to established policies and protocols during their assignments.
Effective communication and team collaboration are essential in this role.
Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of residency upon acceptance of an offer.
